Victoria Police Telephone Screening Assessment
Victoria Police is Currently Trialling a Video Screening Interview to Replace the Telephone Interview
Our members have access to the same Video Interview Application and Process that Victoria Police is trialling.
For those wishing to join Victoria Police one of the early steps to contend with in the application process is a telephone interview. The interview is a screening method which tests the applicant in a number of ways to assess their suitability for the role. Applicants must satisfy Victoria Police during their performance in the telephone interview to be able to advance to the next stage of the application.
The interview is designed to assess 3 main areas and applicants will be asked to provide information, direct answers and personal examples to satisfy the criteria.
This is an opportunity to remove applicants from the process early who may be deemed not suitable. It’s also an opportuity to get off to a good start and make a good impression for those applicants who are well prepared.
Expert Coaching for Your Telephone Interview
Russell has created a video coaching program to help you understand what to expect from the telephone interview. He’ll point out which sections of which documents you need to learn. Russell will explain the finer details, on video with on screen examples, and you’ll also be able to access and download the important documents you need to study. This will ensure you’re focussing on what you need to know for the interview and not wasting time studying material you simply don’t need.
Russell will share techniques, in a step by step explanation, to help ensure you deliver the right answers the right way to maximise your positive impression during the telephone interview.
Make or Break
There’s a reason Victoria Police introduced a second interview early in the process. It’s a long journey for a Victoria Police applicant to pass each step in the application process, qualify for the job interview (selection panel interview) only to end up failing the panel interview and having their application cancelled. The introduction of the telephone interview saves everyone unnecessary grief by cancelling the applications of unsuitable applicants earlier rather than later. This screening process can be achieved via the telephone interviews.
Whilst the unknowns surrounding an important interview can be nerve racking for some, for those with the right preparation it’s the opportunity to get their application to join Victoria Police off to a postive start by making a really good first impression. This course will help you do just that. It’s not about just passing, it’s about making the most of this opportunity! You can try and figure it all out yourself, or, you can let Russell coach you on exactly what to do and how to do it.
