This month’s Victoria Police Fitness Test practice session saw a good turn out with regular Victoria Police, as well as Protective Service Officer, applicants being put through their paces. This session is a great opportunity for our members, as well as casual clients who join us, to fine-tune their fitness test technique and overall performance. This regular session ensures our members are not only well prepared for the fitness test as a police applicant but for the journey as a Victoria Police recruit undergoing academy training.
Our focus has always been on reaching the minimum fitness standards as quickly as possible. We then set about a more long-term plan to develop a large buffer zone between those minimum police fitness standards and the scores we can actually achieve. Our objective is to prepare our members with the skills, fitness, confidence and the support to be able to complete the Victoria Police recruit training at the police academy. Passing the Victoria Police entry fitness test is not the goal, it’s simply one step in the journey to the ultimate goal of graduation as a Constable of Victoria Police.
